102321_REHP_5I am currently the Coordinator of Teacher Recruitment and Retention at the University of Central Oklahoma. I work to increase the number of teacher education graduates by strengthening school district, career tech, community college, and community agency collaborations.

I have my doctorate from the University of Maryland in Minority and Urban Education in the Teaching, Learning, Policy, and Leadership program. My research focuses on how universities prepare social justice teachers and administrators. I am a former high school math teacher, have an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of Central Oklahoma, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Southern Nazarene University.

Previously I served as a Regional Coordinator for the Oklahoma A+ Schools Institute at the University of Central Oklahoma and have also worked for the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Department of Education.
